ABOUT US

At Kool Swim School we have passionate and dedicated teachers ready to teach your children to swim. We start our lessons from 3 months of age and teach all ages and abilities through to stroke correction level, where children can competently swim all four swimming strokes.

Founded in 2015, we are a family operated, boutique swim school. Our founders Cameron and Andria Koolloos started their careers in one of Australia’s largest swim schools, and now have 27 years of experience in the aquatic industry; teaching, managing and owning swim schools. Having five children of their own, they understand the importance of teaching children to swim!

Our teachers are highly qualified and strive to deliver high quality lessons with love and care. Our purpose-built facilities allow us to teach in a quieter environment with smaller class sizes; only running two classes per half an hour. The indoor pool is heated to 32 degrees and uses an Ozone sanitisation system, which ensures we have the highest quality water available in the swimming industry today.

We enjoy being a part of our local community and have supported numerous businesses and schools on The Northern Beaches. We are proud to have won local business awards and have been winners or finalists in our category each year since opening in 2015.

Why we teach kids
Small Strokes

WHY DO WE ENJOY TEACHING

KIDS HOW TO SWIM?

SAVES LIVES

The greatest reason we get fulfillment from what we do here is the knowledge that we help save lives. Through the skills we teach your child will improve their chances for survival in the water.

TEACHES PERSEVERANCE

Because our swimming lessons for kids are progressive, they allow children to work toward goals and learn how to be perseverant in the process. The earlier your child learns that practice and hard work pay off in the long term, the more well-rounded they’ll be later on in life.

BOOSTS SELF-ESTEEM

With every stroke they take in the water, your child’s self-esteem and confidence will grow by leaps and bounds. Overcoming fears and anxieties early will help them become more open to new possibilities. We offer swim classes for infants and toddlers, as well as older kids and adults, so it’s never too early or too late to learn how to swim.

ENCOURAGES LEARNING

Learning how to swim in a relaxed, stimulating environment teaches your child that learning can be fun and engaging. Swim classes help kids develop physically, cognitively, and socially. The brain responds to various stimuli to promote thinking and communication while your child learns how to interact with others.

BRINGS FAMILIES TOGETHER

Swimming is a fantastic way to bring families together. It promotes physical activity as being something worthwhile and entertaining to help build healthy lifelong habits. Swimming is an excellent low-impact cardiovascular exercise that benefits the entire body. It’s no wonder that so many families take pleasure in partaking in their child's early stages of learning how to swim at our swim school!
